Apart from live streaming multilingual video in its own player, Clevercast also supports broadcasting simultaneously translated live streams to third-party platforms that don’t support multilingual video (like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter …).
This way, Clevercast Translate@Home allows you to broadcast a regular live stream to Clevercast – with a single video and audio stream – and lets your translators do Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) in their browser. Clevercast will merge the translated audio and the video source and broadcast the result(s) to your YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter/Periscope feed. You can broadcast multiple languages to multiple third-party targets.

You can send the RTMP broadcast directly with an encoder like OBS Studio, but you can also simulcast the stream from a cloud solution like Clevercast. Simulcasting allows you to send a broadcast to multiple destinations without requiring multiple encoders and lots of outgoing bandwidth at your studio or event.
Simulcasting simultaneously translated live streams
Clevercast offers different solutions to simultaneously translate your live stream. Either by sending multiple audio streams over SRT with multiple audio tracks or over RTMP with multiple audio channels, or by doing Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) using Clevercast Translate@Home (T@H). In each case, the separate languages can be simulcasted to third-party platforms and solutions.
For each translated language in Clevercast, you can set up one or multiple per-language simulcast targets. When the Clevercast event status is set to Preview, Started or Paused and an incoming stream is received, Clevercast automatically sends an RTMP broadcast to each (per-language) target that you configure. This is also possible for the default language (= floor audio).

Limitations
Clevercast always broadcasts your event’s highest resolution to all simulcast targets. You can choose yourself whether to use 1080p or 720p. Please note that some third-party platforms require 720p.
Clevercast currently transmuxes all multilingual video streams to an outgoing stream with a frame rate of 25 frames per second and a keyframe interval of 2 seconds. Therefore, the per-language simulcasts will also have a frame rate of 25 frames per second. We strongly recommend that you also use these settings when sending your broadcast to Clevercast (see our broadcasting guidelines for more info).

Pricing
We currently consider per-language simulcasts as an optional add-on to our plans. This means that you must first choose one of our plans (depending on the number of languages, live streaming hours and data traffic you need). You can then add any number of per-language simulcast targets to your plan.
Existing simulcast targets can be reconfigured at any time. Additional simulcast targets can be ordered during the course of your contract.
